I am Kevin Rothman and I am the proud founding House Principal of Newburgh Free Academy P-TECH. Before taking on this role, I spent 9 years teaching 7th grade math at Heritage Middle School where I also served as the lead teacher and the chairperson of the building leadership team.
In 1993, I graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and am honored to be serving the same school and community that helped shape me in my adolescence. After graduating from NFA, I continued my education at Boston College earning my B.A. in 1997. I earned my master’s degree from Mount Saint Mary College and a post-master’s advanced certificate in Educational Leadership from Stony Brook University.
I am honored and privileged to work with an amazing group of students and teachers who make coming to work enjoyable every day. At NFA P-TECH, we are on the front end of an educational movement that is breaking down barriers and preparing our students for life in the 21st century. The success of each student is at the center of our work here and they continuously impress us with their accomplishments.
Outside of my role at NFA P-TECH, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love spending time outside, rooting for the Mets, and traveling.
